View with No Read/Modify/Delete rights

Hi all,

Once upon a time, I created a view. Somehow, it got edited down to only have Read rights. Now it sits there taunting me and I cannot edit, delete, or create a new view with the same name.

Is there any way this view can be changed? I have RMDCA rights on every other part of my project... but I can't seem to change this view in any way. Any help or advice is appreciated, thank you for your time!

If you know the password for the DOORS Administrator account then that using account you can access everything and change access rights for that problematic view. Otherwise look for the view access rights in in Manage views - does somebody still have RMCDA access to it?

The original DOORS administrator is no longer available to do anything on this project, so that isn't an option for me.

The view access rights on the view itself contains only one entry, Read, for Everyone.

I'm beginning to fear I will need to create a brand new database.

To be more specific to what Pekka said: you need the password of the user called "Administrator". This is the one-and-only-super-duper-can-do-everything-admin of a DOORS database.

This Account and its password is very essential for DOORS, you (or at least the admins in your company) need it, e.g. for restoring access rights ;-)

If this password is not available in your company any more, you can ask IBM Support for assistance in re-retrieving it.
